2012 EnergAustralia Swimming Championships: The battles intense. The stakes are higher.
Geoff is in Adelaide as of March 15th to compete for a place on the Australian national swim team for the 2012 London Olympic Games.
Geoff’s truly inspiring comeback story continues as it reflects and personifies the nervousness, doubts, commitment, hard work and sacrifice that sums up each swimmer as they too, like himself, go for qualifying to reach for their dreams in London as they race for Australia, GOLD and GLORY.
Obstacles stand in their way.
The strain of ultra hard training will take its toll on bodies and minds.
Go Geoff Go!!!!

Yesterday a local girl wins race against Olympian Geoff Huegill. Maddy Harley has a great story to tell her grandchildren — she has out-swum Olympic swimmer Geoff Huegill as part of for cystic fibrosis fundraiser at ITAC. To be fair, the 12-year-old had a 15 to 20 metre head start and Huegill, who made a triumphant return to the pool in 2010 to win Commonwealth Games gold, was wearing jeans, a dress, a trench coat and shoes.
